October 13th at 6:30 pm: Potluck and Listening Group: Join us for our monthly potluck. Additionally the Eastside Timebank is 5 years old so it is time to assess, evaluate and move forward. To that end we are asking members and friends to join us to share why they use the timebank, or why they don't, what is working and what is not. Join us for this listening group. Location: North Bellevue Community Center: 4063 148th Avenue NE, Bellevue.
Each of us has unique gifts, talents, and resources to share, and we all have needs that others can fill. Let's help each other build the community we all want to live in!
How Does the Mercer Island Timebank (miTimebank) Work? Timebanking helps neighbors enjoy the necessities and the niceties of life by exchanging time instead of dollars. Through Timebanks of Puget Sound, miTimebank members will have a simple Internet-based system to list the services they want to give and receive. The website introduces timebank members to each other, facilitates the exchange of services, and keeps track of the hours exchanged. All services are valued equally. miTimbeank members will be listed under the "Mercer Island" Neighborhood with the Timebanks of Puget Sound database. miTimebank members will exchange services with other miTimebank members, and can also exchange services with other neighborhoods in the region, if desired. The online database makes it easy to see what skills and services your neighbors have to offer, and what services they need, so you can match your skills and needs with others in the community.
